Major Favorites for Romantic Getaways

Love is in the air! At Major Traveler, we love love and this month gives us the perfect opportunity to share our current favorite romantic destinations. Whether you and your spouse or significant other might be looking for the perfect weekend getaway or a fabulous destination for a longer hiatus from daily life, we’re thrilled to highlight a few of our favorite romantic destinations. From the seaside of St. Barths to the countryside of England, the following spots exude privacy and charm.

For couples recently engaged, I’d love to share our Honeymoon Guide. Working with couples during their wedding season is a favorite specialty of ours – if you are in need of inspiration, know where you’d like to go or maybe just need a bit of support in making decisions and getting your post nuptials trip on the calendar, give us a call, we’re honeymoon experts

St. Barths captures romance, charm and wistfulness like nowhere else in the Caribbean. Where azure waters and golden sunsets meet every evening, Hotel Le Toiny is a favorite of ours on this beautiful island. Tucked away in an intimate hillside, each room has a private pool and expansive terrace with sweeping views. Soak in the sun, play a board game, toast to love over a private meal and bottle of champagne. Dreamy? Yes, it is.

Romance and Italy go hand in hand. The Italian way of life celebrates love well and we love that. A picturesque paradise for an Italian romantic getaway is the city of Ravello. Nestled along the coast, Ravello is old world charm meets la dolce vita. For an alluring trip to explore and spend time with your loved one, we’d recommend Hotel Caruso, the crown jewel of Ravello and a stunning Belmond property.

Dreaming of holing up somewhere with the one you love? To talk, explore, spend time together off the grid playing cards or meandering through woodland trails? The perfect romantic getaway for you might just be Barnsley House in the Cotswolds. A luxury country house and spa in the English countryside, this spot is romantic in every way.

For couples looking to stay closer to home or in search of a romantic locale within driving distance? We’d recommend Blackberry Farm in the Tennessee Mountains, Old Edwards Inn & Spa in The Highlands and Hasbrouck House in Upstate New York.

My team and I are here to help curate a lovely itinerary for you and to add additional touch points to your stay that will elevate the celebration of love in the details. Never hesitate to reach out!
