The Eagle and Child is where well known authors, C.S. Lewis and J.R.R Tolkein, spent their time writing and conversing. C.S. Lewis wrote Mere Christianity, The Screwtape Letters and the Great Divorce. J.R.R. Tolkein wrote a little known series called Lord of the Rings. We grabbed a beer and dreamed of what it would be like to meet these two legends.
