We’re always in need of some domestic travel inspiration, especially when it comes to family travel. Let’s face it – getting all of the kids a passport for international travel can be a challenge. These are some of our favorite places for spring break, summer vacation or any-time-kids-are-out-of-school travel. For those school breaks, it can easier to stay stateside when traveling with the whole family! Here are our top favorites for your inspiration.
Montana
You might want to continue social distancing habits even once restrictions are lifted. The Resort at Paws Up is the perfect place to do so! Take advantage of the Big Sky Mountains in this Rocky Mountain hideaway. You’ll receive a $300 activity credit to use as you please. Spa treatments, fly fishing, hiking, biking, canoeing are just a few of the activities to keep you busy. Plus, you can choose your accommodations between the resort, luxury tents, or luxury homes.
Florida
An easy beach getaway is what the whole family needs and this is where the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island comes in. Mom can enjoy the luxurious spa. Dad can enjoy the Championship Golf Course. And, the kids can be entertained with the Ritz Kids program that includes activities for all ages.
30A Beaches, Florida
This boutique resort on Rosemary Beach will have you feeling like you’re in the Caribbean with its white sand beaches and clear blue waters. We especially love this resort for anniversaries and couples getaways.
Santa Barbara, California
Looking for a flight long enough to make you feel like you went somewhere big? For all of my Easter Coasters, California fits the bill. Belmond El Encanto is a Santa Barbara hideaway spread across seven acres of secluded gardens. I know that some of you need some R&R after this quarantine. There’s no better way to spend it than in Belmond El Encanto’s 4,500 square foot spa.
Deer Valley, Utah
Deer Valley is a popular ski destination, yes, but did you know that it is also an awesome summer destination? You can hike, bike, golf and fly-fish, just to name a few! You’re just a short drive from Park City’s Main Street, which is full of art galleries, shops and great restaurants.
Kiawah, South Carolina
We love the Sanctuary at Kiawah Island for many reasons! Aside from the famous ice cream shop, one of our favorite activities is to bike around the island. If you’re not into biking, you can play on one of the five championship golf courses or take a tennis lesson from a pro. Its close proximity to downtown Charleston also allows for you to escape to either the city or the beach.
At all of these resorts, you’ll receive our complimentary Major Traveler amenities – daily breakfast, resort credits, priority check-in and check-out times, room upgrades and more.
