Virtuoso Travel Week 2018

Virtuoso Travel Week in Las Vegas is the top event of the year for us luxury travel advisors. It’s where 6,000 advisors, hotels, suppliers, tour operators and more get together to talk business. Advisors spend 7 hours of each day meeting with key members of the industry to gain knowledge and understanding about the best of the best in travel. All of this is for the sole purpose of providing our clients with bespoke, creative and unique itineraries specifically catered to their interests. I learned an incredible amount at Virtuoso Travel Week 2018. More than my brain could truly handle at the time. It was eye-opening and gave me a refreshed perspective for my clients’ journeys. While I met with some incredible suppliers, here are a few of my favorites from the week.

Brush Creek

Located in Saratoga, Wyoming, Brush Creek exemplifies the wild west as a luxury dude ranch. It’s a place where rustic and luxury meet in the most majestic way possible. The ranch has outdoor adventures aplenty from Fly fishing, horseback riding, shooting, and more. Brush Creek also features Trailhead Spa, a luxury spa that provides a complete relaxation and wellness experience. The best way to experience the true west USA is to immerse yourself in it and there is no better place to do so than Brush Creek.

Nizuc

Nizuc has been on my hotlist for the summer. It’s located in Riviera Maya, a few minutes from Cancun, which makes it the perfect weekend getaway. The property features 6 restaurants, a 30,000 square foot spa, breathtaking views and water sports galore. The gorgeous setting is the perfect way to refresh in the midst of a busy fall or spring.

Six Senses Duoro Valley

I’m often asked what destinations are most popular with my clients and to that I say Portugal. Well, I have a few destinations, but Portugal is a hot topic. Portgual is a neat country with vineyards and a gorgeous coastline, complete with a cultural capital city. It’s everything you desire in a European vacation…all in one place. The Six Senses Duoro Valley is located in the heart of wine country. The resort even overlooks a UNESCO-heritage region. The Six Senses here also has a wine library to make your red-wine loving heart palpitate just a little bit more.

Kimpton Seafire

The Seven Mile Beach of the Grand Caymans is a popular strip of real estate and Kimpton Seafire has made themselves at home. I once had clients staying at another Grand Cayman resort and after walking by Kimpton Seafire, they let me know that next time they want to stay there instead. Its light and bright with a pop of color design makes Kimpton Seafire the perfect beach resort.

Tswalu Kalahari

Luxury African safari lodges are becoming a hot commodity for the bucket list traveler. While adventurers to South Africa most often stay in Kruger National Park, Tswalu Kalahari should not be overlooked. It is South Africa’s largest private reserve with a bold mission to “restore the Kalahari to itself”. The luxury lodge only allows 30 guests at a time, providing a true immersive safari experience.

JK Place Capri

Situated on the cliffs of the island of Capri, JK Place is simply the best way to spend your Italian vacation. The resort allows you to break away from the busy Amalfi Coast and truly relax. The design of this hotel is truly mesmerizing. The white and blue accents perfectly complement the ocean blue that can be seen from every window.
