Agua de Valencia

Agua de Valencia, directly translated to Valencian Water, is the cocktail of Valencia. The specialty was kept a secret for many years, known by only a small group of Valencianos. It gained popularity in the 1970’s, where it appeared on the Valencian nightlife scene. Now, everyone enjoys the cocktail! Check out our recipe for the perfect Agua de Valencia cocktail. It makes for a great fun spin on an afternoon or early evening cocktail.

 

Agua de Valencia ingredients

 

0.5 oz of Vodka

0.3 oz of Red Vermouth

0.5 oz of Liquid Sugar

2.7 oz of Orange Juice

2 oz of Cava (champagne)

2 Dehydrated Orange Slices

 

Add each of the ingredients to the glass or jug with a few ice cubes. Mix the ingredients together using a stirrer.

 

Coat the dehydrated orange sliced in powdered sugar and cinnamon. Add 1 or 2 orange slices to your drink once prepared.

The recipe makes an individual serving. Triple the recipe to serve in a jug and share with friends!
